Rescues & Re-Homes
Rescues are Siberian Huskies that end up in local humane societies for various reasons. If their time is up, then we adopt them until we can find a suitable home. These dogs maybe did not get off to a good start, but many are sweet tempered, happy dogs who just want some love and attention as well as a well fenced yard.

Rehomes are adult dogs who were originally kept as show dogs and for some reason or another did not turn out. They are happy, healthy dogs who are looking for loving homes, with fenced yards, of course! The advantage to getting an adult dog is they have already developed their own personality so you know exactly what you are getting. These dogs are far from old, they are just no longer puppies, physically, at least.

Advantages to adopting an adult or older puppy
What you see is what you get! An adult already has a developed personality, you will be able to tell which dog has the personality you are looking for. Active or couch potato, silly or serious, clingy or independant... Our rescue dogs are often with us several months before a suitable home is found so we know their temperaments very well.
Ready to go! Puppies need time to grow up. They need more sleep, more training and may not be physically prepared for all your activities.
The puppy stage While puppies may be cute and cuddley, they are incredibly demanding. They miss their littermates, are not used to sleeping through the night, and have spurts of high activity. Not to mention teething, and having to potty more often. Adults have been there, done that and left it behind them.
